Steel Magnolias at Playhouse

By Carol Horning Stacey | 02/15/2018

Coeur d’Alene’s Lake City Playhouse has chosen Robert Hapling’s drama Steel Magnolias for production starting Friday, February 16, and playing through March 4.

The play visits 6 women in a beauty parlor, so the challenge for the actors, at least for those playing beauticians, is to do hair, etc., as the story goes on. The film version with Dolly Parton ventured outside the room, but on stage the action must be contained. The Lake City Playhouse is located at 14th and Garden.
